Edward
E. Polischuik - Able Seaman July 14, 2004 - Update (below) provided by granddaughter, Ashley Polischuik . . . Edward, passed away on August 25th, 1996 after a very long, ten year battle with Alzheimer's disease. He had three granddaughters, my two sisters and myself. His son, Bill, drowned in the summer of 1966 and his wife, Thelma, past away about 12 days prior to her son due to cancer. Richard, his youngest son, has been married for 22 years and lives in Bolsover. His second wife, Dorothy, past away not too long ago. I am 20 and attend the University of Guelph, and my youngest sister is 18 and attends Sheridan College. My father became an only child at age 9 and grew up to have three daughters. Due to the remarkable man my grandfather was, and the fact that the Polischuik name is on the last generation, all three of Edward's granddaughters have vowed to keep our last names throughout our lives. Edward was a great man and an amazing grandfather. Ashley Polischuik |
