Serge Breard - Leading Sick Bay Attendant
Serge Breard was born in Longueuil, Quebec on June 24, 1918. He was educated in Longueuil and St. Mary's College in Montreal. Serge joined the navy in Montreal in 1941 and served in the sickbay aboard HMCS Nene. He was the co-owner of a Ford garage with his father for 33 years and retired in 1965. Serge was married in May, 1947, to Jaqueline Lafreniere for 25 years and they had one daughter, Helene. Jaqueline died in 1972. Serge married Claire St Denis in 1973, and they lived happily for 13 years. Serge's hobbies included motorcycles, boating, bicycling. He was involved with the Knights of Columbus and the Legion. Serge passed away February 19, 1986.
