John P Inglis - Coder
John P Inglis was born in Montreal on May 21, 1923. He attended schools in Montreal and enlisted in February 1942, serving on three ships, HMCS Moose Jaw, New Waterford and Nene. At the end of the war, courtesy of the Department of Veterans Affairs, John went back to school, graduating from McGill University as a Metallurgical Engineer in 1950. Along the way he met and married Patricia (Teddy) Cutler in 1948. They have four children, Katherine, Susan, Barbara and Timothy and four grandchildren to date. After four years in the steel industry, John joined Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd., and spent the next twenty-nine years at the Chalk River Nuclear Laboratories. Retiring in 1983, he and Teddy continue to make their home in Deep River, Ontario where they are involved in various community activities.
